Platform size and layout

Regulation boards: 4 feet by 2 feet

Tailgate size: 3 feet by 2 feet

Back Height: 12 inches

Front Height: between 2.5 and 4 inches

Board Distance: 27 feet from the front of each board to the opposing board. 33 feet from the front of the hole to the opposing hole.

Player throws behind the front of the platform

Gameplay

Traditionally, 4 players play on 2 man teams, although singles is also played.

Cornhole matches are broken down into innings.

During each inning, every player throws four bags to the opposing box from either side of their box, with each player on the throwing side alternating tosses

Scoring

3 points -Bag is thrown or knocked through the hole

1 point – Bag lands on the board and stays there until the end of the inning

Bags cannot touch ground

At the end of the inning points are canceled (if one team has 3 points and the other has 1, the leading team is awarded 2 points)

Length of the game

The first team to reach or exceed 21 points at the end of the inning, wins.

Some play that exactly 21 points must be reached, and if exceeded, the score reverts back to the previous inning.

Bonus Rule

If you get skunked (ie. lose without scoring any points) you must run naked around the house, building, yard, etc.
